About This Episode:

What’s really happening when kids don’t want to get into bed at bedtime? Are they just being difficult; intent on ruining our night, time and time again?

The truth is that for many kids, especially gladiator kids, bedtime is usually a time where they lie in bed and think about all the things they did that day that weren’t so great. All the things they said that might have hurt your feelings or where they were mean to mom or grandma. Or someone else was mean to them and they overreacted.

The world gets silent at bedtime, leaving room for all of those thoughts to come flooding in and it can get very overwhelming. Your child may have a difficult time regulating and they don’t want to be lying in that bed, thinking about all those terrible things all by themselves. So they would rather delay and walk like a turtle down the hall or fight and argue with you instead.

If you are ready to have a more settled bedtime routine that doesn’t leave you wanting to tear your hair out and scream into a pillow then this episode is for you.

Join me and together let’s bring the peace back to the end of the day.
